The Company We Keep
Aging well starts with who we share it with.
Good Morning Sunshines, I shared something on social yesterday (see below) that I thought I should share here. These are part of the more practical part of my edit towards a healthier, more joyful life.
One of the most overlooked parts of aging well is community. We talk about food, movement, and sleep, but connection matters just as much. The truth is, longevity isn’t only about what we eat or how much we move. It’s about who we walk through life with. The friends who listen without trying to fix or change you. The family that shows up when it’s messy. The colleagues who challenge us to keep growing. These are the people who keep our minds sharp and our hearts soft.
You can watch the short reel I shared here:
For me, longevity isn’t about chasing youth. It’s about surrounding myself with energy that feels alive. People who remind me to laugh, to keep learning, and to say yes to life. Science backs this up, but we don’t need a study to feel it. You know the difference when you spend time with someone who lights you up versus someone who drains you. Our nervous systems know before our minds catch on.
So if you’re thinking about your own aging well, maybe start there. Check in with who fills your space. Reach out to someone you’ve lost touch with. Say yes to that walk, that coffee, that invitation you almost turned down. Because living long is one thing. Living connected, surrounded by people and purpose, is what makes it all matter.

Who in your life makes you feel most alive?
Send them a text, plan a walk, or simply tell them what they mean to you. Connection is medicine, and community is the heart of longevity.
